Q: What is this project?A: ZipperTits is a trans Bakugou zine, centered around everyone's favorite hothead. This project takes a tongue-in-cheek, fight back approach, celebrating transgender resilience and identity. Do no harm, take no shit. This is a zine that celebrates life and the trans experience in both SFW and NSFW aspects.
Q: Is Zippertits a slur?A: Zippertits was a word coined in an attempt to be a slur. It quickly spread from one internet platform to another, and eventually reaching members of the trans community who found the name hilarious or rad and immediately ran with it.We chose this name as the title of our zine because we too think the name is rad, something Bakugou would think was funny, and most importantly, claiming and reclaiming words used against the community to work for us.
Q: Why is this project 18+?A: Although our main zine will be SFW, we do have a NSFW add-on. Additionally, many of our Mod Team are NSFW creators, and this means that all contributors have to be over the age of 18 in order to participate in the project.
Q: Is this zine only FtM?A: No! We aim to showcase aspects of life for everyone under the trans umbrella, which means there is some content of all identities, not just FtM or other masc-presenting genders.
Q: Is the zine for profit or for charity?A: This zine is For-Profit. All proceeds will go towards production and supporting our contributing artists, writers, and mod team.
Q: Is there ship content?A: Some of our pieces do contain ship content (specifically in the NSFW add-on) but the main focus is always on Bakugou and his experiences. Popular ships were capped to allow for more diversity within the zine.
Q: What age are the characters depicted as in the zine?A: As the zine is focusing on all aspects of trans life and identity, some pieces in the SFW Main Zine might depict Bakugou as underage. However, any characters featured in the NSFW Add-on are depicted as 18+.
Q: Are heavier topics like transphobia and dysphoria present?A: The point of this zine is trans joy, and while overcoming transphobia can be a joyful thing (and a thing we have to deal with) we haven't allowed transphobia/transphobia-based angst in our content.Dysphoria is harder to police, as very often euphoria cannot be had without experiencing dysphoria first. For this reason, some of our pieces do include dysphoria, though it is resolved within the scope of the piece. We understand that seeing or reading some of the topics that will be touched on in our zine can be potentially harmful for our audience. We will be thoroughly tagging each piece in our Table of Contents so that readers can mediate their own content and determine what they feel comfortable consuming.
